Opera originale dalla serie “La terra vista dello spazio”: Questa serie di dipinti è ispirata dalle fotografie satellitari che oggi, con strumenti come Google Earth, consentono a chiunque l’esplorazione virtuale del pianeta. Partendo da quelle immagini reali, rielaboro quelle vedute aeree, inventando nuovi codici di rappresentazione e nuovi elementi decorativi. La mappa viene distorta, deformata, alterata come se si trattasse di un ricordo passato, ma qualcosa di quel posto rimane comunque riconoscibile.

An original piece from the series “The earth seen from the space”: This series of paintings is inspired by satellite photographs that today, with tools like Google Earth, allow anyone the virtual exploration of the planet. Starting from those real images, I rework those aerial views, inventing new codes of representation and new decorative elements. The map is distorted, deformed, altered as if it were a past memory, but something of that place is still recognizable.

Specific conditions:
Sono un artista nato nel 1971 a Torino, dove vivo e lavoro. Le mie tecniche pittoriche preferite sono la pittura ad olio su carta o su tela ed il disegno a grafite. In genere il lavoro procede per sedimentazione di strati successivi, ciascuno strato aggiunge qualcosa di nuovo ma allo stesso tempo copre qualcosa dello strato sottostante. Ciascun disegno o quadro, seppur venduto separatamente, spesso fa parte di una serie più ampia di lavori aventi le stesse caratteristiche. In ciascuna serie io provo a studiare ed analizzare un aspetto particolare della rappresentazione, della decorazione e dei linguaggi. Una volta terminato, il dipinto è concluso con uno strato di vernice finale protettiva per la luce solare e la polvere. Le tele sono dipinte anche sui bordi, in modo da poter essere appese senza cornice. Vendo usualmente i miei lavori su svariate gallerie online. I miei dipinti su carta, una volta venduti, non sono mai arrotolati bensì posti in un’apposita cartellina di cartoncino e protetti con angolari di carta. Anche le tele sono fornite di angolari protettivi di cartone. Tutte le opere vengono poi sigillate in una busta impermeabile. Il pacco viene realizzato con plastica a bolle, fogli di polistirolo di irrigidimento, e concluso da un involucro esterno di cartone completamente sigillato, per garantire una spedizione sicura. Solitamente l’opera è spedita entro 2/3 giorni dal ricevimento del pagamento. Tutti i miei lavori sono dipinti originali unici provvisti di Certificato di autenticità.
