I hope you guys enjoy a surprise when it comes by...
The webmaster has announced in the latest 'News' Link (http) , as well as on the French forum Link (http) , that starting this Friday, only verified members will be able to post on the forums.
Obviously no forum other than French has been made aware of this.
And it's not April 1st, thank you.
So I won't any longer be able to come here once in a while to exercise my English and share some postcards and riddles with the overseas cousins. Too bad...

bonsoir cousin manny,
i have recently joined the club as bronze member only to avoid paying the verification fee. however, i was unaware of this consequence as i have not read the french forum today or yesterday. this absolute terrible news. i think i may have to join you, club member or not. i am an american and must defend 'free' speech. and i believe a protest to the APS will also be made. sebastien is also a member of the APS and i think they will find this in violation of their charter. if not, they certainly will think it is for human rights. this is not a concentration camp.
I hope you guys enjoy a surprise when it comes by...

re-bonsoir cher cousin manny,
we have had many wonderful days of discussions about postcards, stamps, life, food, and our families. now there will be a desert where once was a beautiful garden. always my best to you and your family, dear cousin.
nous avons eu beaucoup de jours magnifiques de discussions des cartes, les timbres, la vie, les aliments et nos familles. maintenant il y aura un désert où une fois était un beau jardin. toujours mon meilleur à vous et votre famille, cher cousin.

Let's wait and see!

I read Gepetto's message on the French forum and wondered what he was talking about ('leaving' and all.)
If you do go, Manug, you will be missed as you've helped me on several occasions with identifying cards, helping me find someone to help identify, translate, and connecting me with other members who share my collecting interest! Perhaps they won't disconnect the "contact" link?
A forum is tough to run--I am a volunteer Moderator on another, unrelated site--and the very few 'problem' posters can make it a real headache to deal with.
