Hi,
Have recently found this site and was so impressed I was inspired to put some of my unwanted stamps up for auction. Have just had my first sale...had to text my husband and daughter with the exciting news!!!
They think I need a new anorak for Christmas!!
Hope to be in touch with some of you in the coming months,
Sandystamps.

hi sandy,
in that case, these may interest you:

i flew in many hueys into combat operations in vietnam until wounded by a sniper on a mission. then took another ride as a severely wounded medic. i owe my life to my brave comrades and the pilots of that gunship. glad someone appreciates them. they still are used here in america for medical evacuations, often crashing while doing their job. it is still a very dangerous job, combat or not. take care and enjoy all that good spanish food. my great uncle was mexican, and tampa is home to many latino cultures, and great cuisine.

amities,
cajunsr.

Thanks for the friendly welcome.
Have retired here to Spain from the U.K. ( although I have yet to hit 50) and am enjoying sorting out my stamp collection.
Like the personal touch that seems to exist alongside the commercial , don't change it please!!!
Sandy.

Hi David,
Welcome!
Yes I think Delcampe is a great site. I like the fact I can type in a huge range of subjects and get so many responses. This is a great help when collecting thematicately.
I have shared the details with my local club here in Torrevieja and I know some have already purchased items.
Happy stamping.

hola sandy,
i do envy you for one thing, all that good spanish cooking you have there. we have a large population of latinos in tampa. the city iitself is of spanish heritage with ybor city and i have often eaten many cubano sandwiches with bowls of good sopa. and my wife makes very good oxtail soup and other spanish-tex-mex dishes. being cajun, you know i like it hot and spicy. the spaniards maybe not so much as the mexicans. but some do. and we even have brazilian restaurants too. i love eating out in this city. it is a mix of many cultures and my stomach just goes wild for it. stamps are much more fun on a full stomach. take care and hope to see you more on the philatelic forum.

amities et a bientot,
cajunsr.
:peace:

"hey guys, i smell tacos. anyone got guacamole?" :D
